Makalele: Wine Country

My mom and step-dad came to visit me last weekend and we spent some time driving around wine country in northern California. After driving around various vineyards, my step-dad took us to this Italian castle in Calistoga, the Castello de Amarosa. The guy who built it had stones shipped over from buildings in Italy and tried to make it as authentic as possible--it even had a torture chamber! We took the tour and it was seriously cool. I also happened to learn a lot about wine that I never knew before! Here are some of my favorite photos from the trip.
